Lifeway--the folks that have already brought Beth Moore's simulcast to Bloomington, Indiana--has selected Sherwood Oaks Christian Church as a host location for an exciting conference for mothers together with their daughters, ages 10-18 (5th-12th grades).

Growing up today isn't so easy, is it? Lifeway and Vicki Courtney know it all too well. You and Your Girl is a mother/daughter event that gives you spiritual encouragement and practical tools to navigate through this generation. Youth culture expert and best-selling author Vicki Courtney encourages moms and equips daughters to steer away from today's ungodly culture and toward a God-filled life. Soak up Vicki's inspiring messages, music and worship, age-specific breakouts, and more. The drive back home could be some of the best times you've ever shared.

Vicki Courtney is an author, speaker, and founder of Virtuous Reality Ministries, which reaches more than 150,000 girls and mothers per year through books, speaking engagements, virtuousreality.com (for teen girls) and vickicourtney.com (her blog for moms). A mother of three teens, she seeks to provide both teens and their parents with the tools necessary to navigate today's promiscuous culture.

In addition to Vicki's messages, moms, daughters and their friends will also experience music led by the Sunflowerz and hear from a variety of breakout leaders.

YOU + UR Girl BREAK-OUTS

The simulcast is structured with 4 sessions:
2 General sessions with moms and daughters all in the worship center and 2 break-out sessions with moms in the worship center with live stream with Vicki Courtney and girls in break-out rooms.

Here is just a taste of what the girls will experience in their break-outs:

9th-12th Grades: "Can't Tame Me" and "True Princess," but don't worry, our daughters will be challenged to take off the tiara and shift their focus from being the pampered princess to a humble servant of the king.

7th-8th Grades: "The Fastest TEXT-er Ever" and "Besties Til The End," as we discuss ways friendships change, how to treat our friends and talk about the thing we love to talk about the most...GOSSIP.

5th-6th Grades: "Tell Me How" and "13 and Lovin' It!" where we'll talk about dealing with emotions, relationships and how to balance all things teenager.

3rd-4th Grades: Although the simulcast is geared toward 5th-12th graders, we are equiped to take this younger age due to the fact that we know some moms will bring them. Our breakouts for this age are "R-E-S-P-E-C-T" and "Girls Rock!"
